Here is the utility room. This is a weird closet that was framed and then had wood paneling for walls. It was a scary closet that was deep on both sides of the door- ick and lets give it up for the double layer of FILTHY nasty curtains in the window. Because really, if you are going to do something gross you might as well do it twice.
Seriously? carpet in the utility room? how could that have EVER been a good idea?
If I had a fishing trophy picture- this would go right along side it!
The utility room has a bathroom with a shower- so we took up the floor in both rooms. Both rooms had these crazy tiles on the bottom of several layers of linoleum and came up deceptively quick--so quick in fact that I sauntered up to the kitchen (June 19th is world sauntering day btw) feeling like the tile removing queen and was quickly humbled by layers that weren't having it.
Who doesn't like to do a little construction work without pants--they are so restrictive especially in this humidity!
gross. hmmm maybe taking out the closet wasn't such a good idea.
OK for reals- why does my type color always revert to blue?
Here is our new floor!! Eventually this room will have coat hooks by the door with little cubbies underneath for shoes etc. I am hoping that I can fit 5- one for each of the people. On the side that had the icky closet we are putting food storage shelves.
