So many Projects so little time

So, here we are at our new house.  I love it.  unlike our last house it was move in ready.  That said, I would be lying if I said that I didn't have a list a mile long as to what I want to do to the house and surrounding land.  My first and easiest project I will post later was to paint a movie screen onto the wall. Job 1 of about 40 hopeful project.....check.  Good thing we are planning on living here forever:)

For now, my loooong list will just have to wait.  I am going to school and taking care of my mom who moved in with us a month ago.  My first school break is coming up in a few weeks and I am torn between doing absolutely nothing but lounge in bed and read and painting the small section of wood that is in the front of our house.....it is red...bizzare.  The rest of the house has siding that is a nice neutral color, but the front of the house has a red brick half way up and then vertical wood planks the rest of the way that are painted red.  ick.  Not my favorite look.  SO I am debating---- white or the beige?  What do you think?  I suppose a picture would make it easier to decide, right?  Maybe the next time I am supposed to be studying but can't look at the properties of joint capsules or connective tissues anymore I will post a picture :)

Goodbye Ivy Hill

Welcome to Seventh Hevans where we will post the occasional update and share our progress as Sheelagh's Pinterest boards come to life. :)

We said goodbye to Ivy Hill on June 28th, 2013.  The house sold in four days!  We'll miss our friends and our soft close drawers but we needed a lot more space to harness all of our craziness!  We're now on three glorious acres and enjoying our spacious six bedroom walk out rambler with a master suite that we affectionately call "The Apartment."

I have returned!!  time to kill the fatted calf!

 So- here is our gross totally 80s brass "chandelier"  ick.  Not only is it brassy, but it is totally un-centered.  Why does that happen?  is it that hard to measure out what would be the center of the "dining room"?  ANYWAY, I am too cheap to buy a new fixture....but I did buy some spray paint! (do you like how half of the lights are burned out?? classy.)

 Soon- so very soon, we will have moulding up....so so soon.  Dave got a nail gun/air compressor for Christmas....what a great gift right?  I digress....

 eeewww so dusty.  Here is one of my skeletons....I HATE dusting.  It is one of my "pay" jobs.  The kids know that if they want money, there are always jobs that I will pay to have done.  Dusting is one of the many :)

 My VERY high tech spray guard.  I didn't want the hassle of taking it down just to have to put it back up again.

 TA-DA!  ooooooo so much better  AND it is now centered.
